One other thing PK brought up is this whole Los Angeles thing.  Said Strunk should (and likely would) approach the more authoritative owners like Jerry Jones and basically say if you want me to scratch your back on voting for this then you need to stop driving (or not preventing) this national narrative that's turning into a smear campaign.  

Does a single member of the Rooney family have that sort of cash on hand? I mean an antitrust lawyer would totally decimate the NFL in a lawsuit.

The waiting really is frustrating.  We know for a fact they're conducting head coaching interviews Thursday.  Common sense says you'd want your GM to at least play some role in those interviews....unless the team is just totally ass backwards (I'm not saying they're not).  So, that's the realistic deadline.  Two days, and really...you'd want your GM in place, in the city, and ready to do his job before Thursday....so really, the deadline has to be by tomorrow, late evening at the absolute latest.  Ideally, you'd want to let your fanbase celebrate your GM hire, and not make him feel rushed as Hell getting acclimated to the new city/facilities, so you'd THINK we'd hear something today.....but of course, there have to be league meetings as a convenient crutch to slowroll the shit out of this.
