  1. Scotty? At least he talks like he can do it better...
  2. Oh captain, my captain... Also, it's more enjoyable watching the games instead the stats. Should try it sometime.
  3. His production is below average? He's played over half his career coached by a guy who didn't pass the ball until he absolutely had to. Mularkey is a good guy and did a lot for improving our teams culture, but he didn't do Mariota any favors.. I don't think he's ruined, but I do believe it's going to take some time for him to heal.
  4. I could have easily started a new thread for this discussion, but why when this one works just fine? Sad thing is I said I was staying out of the pointless debates defending our team's QB, but sadly keep letting myself step into the fray..
  5. No... Stay please, don't go.. I loved Steve McNair, think he was a special QB. I too love Marcus Mariota. I believe he's a special guy and a special QB. Sadly, he's had a rocky road to start, but believe he will show all of this fanbase that before his career in Tennessee is over..

  7. I was thinking about that, but it seems like sometimes he does and sometimes he doesn't? But you can bet if he has a bad game, it's when he didn't have time or protection..
  8. So, you need a QB like Luck to stop complaining? How many teams are playing in the league with such a QB? Also, Luck has Hilton, Watson has Hopkins, Rodgers has had a plethora of WRs, Brees has Thomas, Brady has Bellichek. Who am I missing? Mariota lost Walker and has an emerging Davis..
  9. Is it a knock to suggest a QB needs some protection from his oline and WRs to catch the ball when it's thrown to them? I'd love to know how many "elite" QBs would still look elite without the above minimum.. Yeah, Brady is out there and I'm sure there's probably a couple other examples, but I'd wager not as many QBs as you'd suggest can overcome poor offensive line play, no rushing game, AND receivers who consistently drop passes... Not to mention while learning your 3rd offensive system with a whole new set of coaches, (playing 75% of your games against top 10 defenses). It's like an obstacle course has been set up to extremely near certain failure difficulty level this yearand yet we are still playing meaningful football in December..
  10. I wasn't on the message board for the VY debates, but I can't help but to wonder now based off what we saw recently with Fisher and Goff, is there any chance he just didn't get the most out of Young?
  11. Serious question. What do you make of Jeff Fisher, the Rams and Goff? It's fascinating to me how much of a difference changing coaches and schemes made.. We've gone into the way back machine as far as VY discussions and whatnot goes, but just for the fun of discussion, any chance a coach or a system can make a QB underperform?
  12. This is so funny. I'm sitting here wondering if we're watching the same games! You all sound like you are talking about a QB who throws more incompletions than not. Does anyone remember how many years a holding penalty or a false start even equated to a punt?! YEARS!!! Now, we can make it up after a personal foul.. Either some of y'all haven't been a Titans fan for long, or you've got terrible memories, or both, but we have suffered through some bleak shtuff.. This isn't it. This is bringing flashbacks of Mularkey slamming Demarco Murray over and over into a brick wall, Mariota is facing 3rd and 13 again, and gets it.. It's just too painful to remember.. But yeah, it's all his fault. Some of you all are a trip!
  13. You think Mariota will be benched any time soon..??!? πŸ™‰πŸ™‰πŸ™‰
  14. He plays a lot better than Bortles, and he was what an $18-19 million man? It's the market..
