  1. Well, both Qbs on the rosters contracts are up. I am for signing Tanney, but we are gonna need a backup with the injury history of Tanney. Where that comes from or who that is, is a good question. I agree, the team needs more speed, but the kind of speed that KC has on the offensive side of the ball is rare. They have multiple burners who can also play football. That's not the kind of thing you just go out and grab. The collection KC has is rare.
  2. Place is really cool. I lurked around a while, and I don't post a lot. I think its awesome what the board worked out as far as donations and such to Dmeade. As much as we love football, and our Titans, what the board did there is much bigger than that.
  3. Heart failed. She died in her sleep. Sitting up on the couch like she had napped a million times before. Come home from work and found her.
  4. This is very sad. My wife passed very unexpectedly about a year and a half ago at 33 years old. These things tend to change or perspective on things. All the best to his family.
  5. I really kind of think the best thing we can do is ALLOW the Chiefs to run the football. ALLOW them to assist us in doing what we want to do, then as we do so often, make them kick fgs. I am torn. Part of me thinks this thing can get out of hand the wrong way. The other part, that has us winning, feels this being much lower scoring. I am gonna ride with that and say Titans 23 Chiefs 17
  6. I don't know why you would want to throw too much when a back is averaging 6ypc . I will say, the fact that the defense was on the field so much tonight, worries me for next week, regardless of who we play. Gotta find a way to sustain drives. I know the game kinda played out the way it did because we had a lot of big plays. Just worried about fatigue setting in on the defense.
  7. He made the plays needed to win the game. Its not always going to be a thing of beauty. The one mistake that simply can't happen imo, is not handling that snap late in the game. The int doesn't bother me, because it happens to the best from time to time. Taking into account the plays he made and his handling of the run game at the line of scrimmage, he wasn't awful, not good by any stretch either. He did enough
  8. I hope Mariota goes on somewhere and does well, I really do, if thats what he wants to do, but for this team, I really don't see the need for the package. Tanneyhill athletically, can do everything Mariota can do, plus the threat of throwing in tight Windows. Mariota gives you nothing that Tanneyhill don't already give you.
  9. I thought we could have sprinkled in a little more playaction bootleg type stuff last night, but aside from that, the game plan was the necessary game plan to come out of that game, against that team with the win. To the clock management part with 5 minutes left in the game, I would be lying if I said I wasn't at all uncomfortable, simply because all NE needed was to get into fg range, but it worked out.
  10. I say if we are going to get them, now is the time, but I agree with you somewhat. I wouldn't consider it a lock either way
  11. Those defenses were highly underrated. I remember all those guys. Undersized but very good. When it came to having to slow down those massive power run offenses in NY and Washington, they didn't match up well. Then against SF they were severely undermanned everwhere.
  12. I get it. I just never see an issue with getting the ball in the hands of a playmaker at any point, however you gotta do it.
  13. If he can, in a must win to get in the playoffs situation, why not? He is deadly with the ball in his hands. He could get hurt doing anything on a football field.
  14. Amazing what just a little consistent talent around him looked like, along with the fact that, by his own admission, that by the time that Davis and some of those other weapons got to him, he may not have been as good a football player, but he became a better qb. I remember the teams that lost those Super Bowls pretty well, the fact that they were even there, was crazy.
