  1. Past hour
  2. No. It was in front of CNN’s building.
  3. @oldschool - Will 2nd degree charges get a jury conviction?
  4. Sometimes, a coach or manager thinks he has to be nasty or dominant to get the results he wants, and sometimes they can shed that style for a more comfortable one when they don't have to be totally in charge..
  5. What are you talking about? Thats not even remotely how things went down. the MN AG was calling for justice and wanted the local DA to move much quicker. When the initial charge of 3rd degree came down, the AG took over a few days later and is now upping the charges.
  6. Another never trumper in the form of our own Secretary of Defense: I have serious concerns about using military forces to respond to protestors. The role of the US military in domestic US law enforcement is limited by law. It must not be used in violation of those limits and I see little evidence that President Trump understands this fundamental premise,"
  7. the guy that the black guy ripped the skateboard from ad scolded?
  8. They obviously should have done this before the news hit the public. Instead, the police chief fires him and they gotta look at it. Then the MN AG says they don't see any reason to charge him. Now, after world wide protests, "We are going to charge this s.o.b., look at all the shit he done got us'n in." By this weekend, they will be dusting off the chair.
  9. Monday morning, President Trump had a friendly chat with campaign supporter and Russian strongman Vladimir Putin. Shortly after, he held a call with governors in his own country, where he sternly lectured that Minnesota had become “a laughingstock all over the world.”
  10. Damnit. What do they not understand about this? The guy said just a couple days ago how hard it is to convict cops...now this. Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison is increasing charges against Derek Chauvin to 2nd degree in George Floyd’s murder and also charging other 3 officers. This is another important step for justice. If he gets off because of the AG this country is going to make 1968 seem like good days.
  11. For what it's worth, I agree that Rochester video of the dudes beating a woman with a 2x4 was disgusting. But I think you need to look for more evidence that just the one video Fox News boosted. Don't ignore the videos of "peaceful protesters" begging the rioters to stop, or the "peaceful protestors" throwing the thugs to the cops, or the "peaceful protestors" blocking storefronts from rioters, or "peaceful protestors" cleaning up the mess after the rioters. There's been plenty of examples of what you want to see. It's all quite easy to find. Listen to Black people.
  12. It’s more about poverty than race. Take the poorest counties in the country and they have almost the exact same statistics regardless of race.
  13. If Black people could trust the police there wouldn't be so much crime in their neighborhoods. Until they are comfortable calling the police to help, the criminal gangs will have a green light to operate. But right now Black people don't call 911 because there's a good chance the cops will completely misunderstand the situations that they enter. There are ways to correct the situation that start with rewarding good policing and tracking and punishing bad policing.
  14. 13-3 and a bye for the playoffs Lose in the divisional round.
  15. I suppose you and nimrod Madmax thinks it's because of racism. Not so. Their inner city culture is a mess, and you cant blame whitey on that.
  16. He made big plays in big moments against the best teams in the NFL during his rookie year. I can't say for certain, but I believe he was the highest graded player per PFF against the chiefs during the playoff matchup. He was responsible for a large number of negative plays while at WVU. He's seemed to have continued that trend in the NFL. He definitely deserves more recognition and hype
  17. Startling statistic. Now educate us on why this is true...
  18. Today
  19. Agreed. There are probably Titans fans who don't even know who he is, but Long did really well in filling in unexpectedly for Jayon, especially against KC. Most teams depending on a 6th round rookie to start at LB against Mahomes would have been toast.
  20. When the White House went into full blackout mode with protesters outside, Trump just went down to the bunker to see if he could find the fuse box. That was all...
  21. Make us strong to do Your work, willing to heed and hear Your will, and write on our hearts these words: “Use power to help people.” For we are given power not to advance our own purposes, nor to make a great show in the world, nor a name. There is but one just use of power, and it is to serve people. Help us to remember it, Lord. G. HW. Bush.
  22. There is confusion as to the qualifications of an unsung hero. Jonnu Smith had an 80% catch rate and was 2nd in the league (behind AJ Brown) in terms of YAC vs expected. As a receiving target, nobody rivaled him in terms of efficiency. His contributions go well beyond the box score. He's the correct choice.
