I haven’t watched him this year. I haven't watched him much this year. I did see an article talking about him throwing short a ton at the start of the year. As for the rest of the nfl, I didn't do the math yet for them. IsntLifeFunny

Callidus
Ok so I looked up the stat graphic. Was total passes 5yards and under. Here are the top ten and the % of total passes added. Cousins 221 of 363 60.8% Bortles 214 of 328 65.2% Luck 206 of 371 62.8% Carr 206 of 320 64.3% Ben 205 of 369 55.5% Manning 199 of 346 57.5% Stafford 195 of 331 58.9% Brady 194 of 371 52.2% Flacco 191 of 379 50.3% Rodgers 187 of 355 52.6% And Mariota for comparison 136 of 248 54.8% CreepingDeath, IsntLifeFunny, and Bluth

The new coach must have changed his style, because Luck used to push the ball down field more than the massive majority.
IsntLifeFunny
It makes sense though. Luck was never going to hold up playing like he was.

Also, the numbers they gave were by team, not qb, so some may be off a little. Like mariota I added gabbert and his atempts together. Didn't take the time to check each teams backups. Didn't seem worth the time. Edited November 16, 2018 by Callidus IsntLifeFunny

Didn't seem worth the time. The new NFL is running a ton of spread. To counter the lack of blockers they’re designing short throws more than ever before, especially as it comes to WR screens and simple drag routes. I find the stats interesting as well how they’ve been pumping up his Oline. Any line looks good when your QB is throwing that short over 60% of the time. Let’s see if we can blanket the underneath and our guys can get home. I know Casey is for sure licking his chops. EagleEye, and titanruss

headhunter
Looking at some Colts highlights it appears they run a bunch of cover 2 primarily And the Jags game, the jags are just not diciplined, blown coverages, and receivers running wide open. If Evans can teach Landry his spin move and Landry can teach Evans some of that balance it’s going to be a really nasty 3rd down set from the outside.
