Henry is upper body. That's why he stiff arms. But he doesn't have powerful, churning legs and doesn't have a low center of gravity.

"At more than 240 pounds, Henry posted one of the top 40-yard dash times during the Tide's spring testing (4.50) while recording the second-best power clean on the team (345 pounds), a 440-pound bench press, a 500-pound squat and a 35-inch vertical jump."

@Jamalisms @OILERMAN   You guys were discussing the interception with Justin - just wanted to comment on that.    Mariota said at his press conference yesterday when asked about ho

Watch quite a bit, just try to avoid the confirmation bias thing when I do. Henry has pushed the hole about every time this year; the things he's getting accused of happened way more last year.

The Henry / Lewis debate in this pod is a prime example of OMAN pushing his agenda.

He cites Henry's lack of running production (avg 3 ypc on the season) as the reason he sucks. The thing is Lewis is at 3.3 ypc on the season. That fucking sucks too.

I know Lewis is talented. Yet he's not performing well in the run game. That suggests something wrong with the blocking. If the blocking is bad, maybe Henry will will also benefit from improved blocking.

OMAN rejects this obvious logic because he's committed to his stance that Henry is bad and that Lewis will be the feature back.

Please note: Henry is a flawed RB! He is too top heavy and can't use his size like he should. I don't think he's Gurley or anything, but I do think there's a problem with the running game in general. If Lewis starts running well and Henry still sucks then you can use Henry's shitty stats as an argument against him. It's dumb to use Henry's ypc, but to ignore Lewis's shit ypc.

People forget the basis of the argument: Lewis is a really small guy who cannot take the rigors of being a feature back; Henry isn’t a spare and adds a dynamic most teams don’t have with a fast RB who can also bowl over guys. He’s also solid in the screen game.

This goes back to coaching more than anything. Vrabel isn’t an idiot like Fisher who was trying to pad stats with his weapon. We absolutely need Lewis, especially now with Walker out and Mathews gone. They won’t use him like a workhorse when we are winning games with next to zero production from both backs running the ball. Lewis isn’t and simply will never be a featured running back in the regular season. He’s too small and injury prone,. These coaches aren’t retarded so they will use him just enough to win games, nothing more. We need him for the playoffs.

I’ve said repeatedly I would like to see Fluellen get some carries. He isn’t as dependent on blocking as Henry and Lewis.

I've always said they would use a rotation with both guys

Found this good post over there.

If Marcus can't distribute the ball to average players that's one thing. Then he could be Dalton.

That wasn't the issue yesterday. The issue was he successfully distributed the ball to his playmakers and they failed him with drops and turnovers.

Even Brady isn't catching his own passes. What happened when all he has was Gronk at the start of the season?

The Bills tried to take away Davis and Mariota's legs and make the other guys make plays. No one stepped up.

How may possessions do you get in a game? Usually around 11 or 12? How many did we have yesterday? Our game was over 30 mins before the other early games, so probably around 9? Two were ruined by fumbles. One by an interception on a "slant". Another by a guy dropping an easy TD on third down.

If you cut your offensive possessions in half with mistakes it's not going to be a good day offensively.

Mariota made mistakes for sure, but there was a lot of ugly yesterday, even in the game plan which looked like they wanted to be conservative. You can't play conservative and turn the ball over.

We have got to get better in the red zone.
