Has there ever been a more laughably absurd idea in the history of international relations as this idea Russia will work with us on cybersecurity, coming only a few days after 12 members of the GRU we

Exactly. If Obama would have done this, I would have said then don’t say shit until you find out. And put it as a priority. The problem is Trump wants to deny shit but doesn’t want to find out the truth.

Trump doesn't want to acknowledge something that could suggest his victory was illegitimate in any way. That's his primary interest and agenda, and as the sitting US President it is a downright joke and indefensible.

The thing is, acknowledging the obvious truth doesn't acknowledge the impact it actually had, but this sort of thinking genuinely seems too advanced for Trump and by extension his base.

Exactly what I was going to say.

The nuance of a position like “the Russians meddled, but I would have won regardless” seems to be beyond Trump. He’s a baby with the bath water type simple thinker.

France was essentially the center of Western Civilization many years ago. With the US retreating from the world, along with the U.K. retreating from the EU, it’s likely that France could be the new center of international power and Western influence.

The French rejected their worst tendencies unlike America and the British. Macron is not afraid. He’s taking names right now and reforming the French economy.

LOL!!! France won the World Cup that's the best they'll do foo...

Not to veer off the thread topic too much, but how is he dealing with the French far right and the continuing issue of intergrating immingrants into French society (ie Muslims)?

Trump says "There was no collusion. I didn't even know Mr Putin, so there was nobody to collude with."

Does anyone hear this and actually think "ah fuck, that's a good point".

At one point I thought he deliberately brought related but irrelevant points to confuse, but I think this is just how his brain works.

Went on a quick search for the new talking points everyone will see:

What’s wrong with being friends with Russia?

If Trump had of taken a hardline you all would have said he was risking WW3!!

The intelligence communities are corrupt! Trump is right to believe Putin.

Putin now has more celredibility than CNN (thanks to a Breitbart poll!)

Forgot about one of the better ones: The investigation is a sham! They won’t even talk to the Russian spies they indicted!

Dont watch them anymore. So where is the Russian  story that changed so many minds? Or do you just have no answers?

??? Don’t watch anymore.

There wasnt just one story, you don’t run a propaganda campaign with one story. You use a bombardment of information to raise doubts. Geesh...learn some history or something.
