Michael Cohen, President Trump’s longtime confidant and former personal attorney, has resigned from his post as deputy finance chair of the Republican National Committee’s Finance Committee, sources close to the RNC told ABC News.

But Cohen notes the federal investigations into him weren’t the only reason for stepping down.

Said Cohen: “As the son of a Polish holocaust survivor, the images and sounds of this family separation policy is heart wrenching. While I strongly support measures that will secure our porous borders, children should never be used as bargaining chips.”

I don't buy for a second that Cohen cares about those kids. That to me sounds like a parting shot at Trump. Just a little FU that only he will really get.

But a lot will probably disagree or not see it that way.

If you did, you wouldn't just be focused on immigrant families, but all families.

Watch the left totally give up this fight and do nothing about the US children seperated from their families.

Their political agenda has been pushed, heard, and adhered to.

Now they will forget about this issue even though it will still happen to US families and they will move on to the next political issue in which they can bash Trump.

Couldn't agree more.   American citizen children get separated from their families, and the left doesn't give a hoot.   All the left wants is open borders to get more votes for them.

Yes, Trump and his supporters are the real victims in all this. As usual.

But the Dems..... but Hillary!......  but Obama! Meanwhile Trump creates  a constitutional and humanitarian crisis in the name of making the borders safe. LMFAO at the Trumptards. At least you fucking clowns are consistent. (Consistently wrong.)

Yes, because that's what is being said.

So I take it you're done arguing that weed would cost us more money than letting millions of peoppe cross the border legally?

You're not victims. Those kids were victims. Don't confuse those two. Also, since illegal immigrants have been a net positive for the economy, even $1 spent on weed-related costs means I'm right ?. Like I said, in the last thread though,  the research is contradictory when it comes to weed and respiratory issues. The schizophrenia link seems strong though. Either way, we'll see. I'm more pessimistic about it than you are obviously but I feel the reasoning is there.

Its not comparable ignoramus.

False equivalence, right?

You're comparing how things have been. Im comparing what it would be like if we legalized illegal immigration.

Depending on how the respiratory and psychological issues with weed shake out, it very well could cost us more. You and the right talk as though every single Mexican or South/Central American person wants to leave their entire life behind and come here. They don't. If this were true, no one would live in Puerto Rico, Guam, or any other U.S. territory that is much poorer than us. They can already come here legally so why aren't they all overrunning the streets ripping shitty jobs from Americans' cold dead hands? Could it be that the vast majority of people are fine living in their home country? Nah, that can't be it. Every place where brown people live is shithole. I know this because daddy Trump said so and he never lies.

This idea of endless immigrants streaming through the border and outnumbering Americans, raping and pillaging on the daily isn't based in reality. It's fear porn. Do yourself a favor and actually visit some of these countries. The overwhelming majority of the people in those countries are busy leading their everyday lives and the thought of coming to the U.S. to pick fruit in 100 degree heat for $3 an hour is the furthest thing from their minds.Their days are not consumed with scheming up ways to sneak into our country and fuck up our economy. Generally speaking only the most desperate risk making the trip and are willing to put up with the conditions they'll have to "work" under.

Btw, don't forget that my original point was that people like you aren't passionate about illegal immigration because it's illegal but rather you use the illegality as a way to justify the fact that the real passion comes from the negative feelings you, personally hold towards those people. You've done nothing but prove my point so far.

I never said we were. I never said we would be. I said it would be a hindrance that no one, even you, would want to endure.

You can label it being a victim, but we have to endure a lot of things in life but I dont feel it makes us victims.

Everyone has to endure something. The left endured shit from the right for 8 years. No one cares. You don't have to "feel" like a victim to claim you're being victimized. The words of the conservatives in this thread clearly show they think that they (and Trump) have been unfairly maligned, targeted, and attacked, in other words they believe the "radical left" is victimizing them. I just wanted to remind you guys of who the actual victims are so you can put it in perspective. You're not victims and no one is victimizing you. Those kids were victimized and many will live with the trauma for much of their lives. You and your conservabros will forget this issue by the end of the week and find something new to bicker with the left about. There is a huge difference.

So when you claim to be a victim, it's only acknowledging, 'a hindrance that no one would want to endure.'

Likewise, when someone else (on the left) acknowledges a hindrance no one would want to endure, they're only 'claiming to be a victim.'

It's hypocritical, sure, but it only goes to show what a bullshit counter-argument the 'victim label' is to pointing out some injustice. It's literally the rebuttal that can be used to quell any injustice claim. It's essentially an appeal to emotion. That's why it's a popular complaint in tribal politics.

Classic case of putting words in ppls mouths. Find me any post I made where I claimed I was a victim or the left were claiming to be victims...

I can help you with this. Playing the victim is a  common behavior among Trump supporters and like their hero, they are full of grievances. You might be playing the victim card if you posted.

  1. If Trump did the same thing as Obama, yall would still hate him
  2. Yall don't care about these kids, you only want to hate Trump
  3. Yall like immigrant kids more than you do American kids
  4. Yall never give Trump any credit
  5. The blacks can say the n-word, but if I say it, I'm a racist
  6. Yall trash people on this forum
  7. Yall like to play the race card and ignore the concerns of white people
  8. Yall are a bunch of hypocrites and only care about stuff to hurt Trump

Just a few days ago, I called you a big baby for this exact reason. Search this forum for "yall" and the results will be a stream of whining and victimhood.
