Vrabel on analytics

Recommended Posts

Got to have a system which can take advantage of analytic data.. for example attacking an ILB that can’t cover a rb or te, the way the Patriots  abused us last season.. so first you build a scheme that can do that in a variety of ways

i like that he has an order to it. i like that he is listening to JR.

system first then analyze. you cant use analytics too much with the last staff if we are changing so much up. it really is a reasonably fresh page for players i think. it should be and needs to be.

There is no hiding the fact that Vrable is very concerned about the offense and it's not just the players, it's having a rookie playcaller.

If he had his choice in the matter, he would have a vet calling plays.

Nothing aganist the OC but he was a Jrob pick.

"He's a meathead" they said "he'll never be able to coach in the NFL" they said...

Leaders don't have to BE the smartest guy in the room. They gotta FIND the smartest guys and bring them to the room.

A retard can call plays better than Robiskie.

If you read that original meathead thread, most of the people criticizing Vrabel were the first to admit that they have no problem with him being the coach if he has the ability to bring in smarter people, delegate and actually listen.

His first press conference didn't do much to lessen those worries, his actions on the other hand have been completely different than how he tried to portray himself. Which is a great thing for the team.

His presser were fine people just were nitpicking to forward the Mikes a meathead agenda. Nearly every NFL person asked about him mentioned his intelligence and so Im not surprised at all the he doesn't seem lost or over his head at all. He seems to have more of a plan then the 2 previous veteran head coach's already.

Not really but that's obviously your bias.

The previous two coaches were extremely straight-forward with their plan, drafted to a T to fit their plan and early on executed it pretty well.

What do we know about this offense? What do we know about this defense even? I think this team will be the best we've had since 2008 but that has absolutely nothing to do with this rock solid "plan" that Vrabel obviously is head and shoulders above anyone else since that time.
