Lewan holding out and not attending mini camp.

trade him

No way in hell they are trading him. Conklin might not be ready for the season so Lewan has all of the leverage. Him and the team both know they want him to be a Titan for a long time. He’s doing this to not risk a severe injury that could impact his contract.

He's gonna get paid and I hope he does.  The guy has such intensity and takes it personally when mm8 gets taken out.

Besides I blame the agents for all the controversy that happens when players miss otas etc.  When his player gets paid he/she gets paid.

This, imo, is JRs first real test as GM.

Your best OL is holding out which would make your OL completely shit until Conklins return if you dont get him in.

Lets see how long it takes and how it plays out.

Are you 12? OF COURSE business > sport. Players make these owners billions. Why should he risk rendering himself unable to get the most lucrative deal he possibly can just for a minicamp? You think the team is going to reward him a lucrative multi-million dollar deal for being a good sport if he happens to tear his ACL in minicamp?

To each their own but when players set to make millions don't skip, ones that do will be criticized by being held to the standard that some have set by not being selfish, greedy, afraid, etc.

Lewan gets hurt here and there. He has missed games. I can understand why he is afraid to do some workouts in fear of hurting something else and possibly losing money.

This kinda shit takes the wind out of my sails. The dude is a 26 year old millionaire and he refuses to go to minicamp and improve because a deal that is going to happen hasn't happened yet. Business>sport

He isn’t doing it as a slight to the team. If he goes to minicamp and blows out a knee then where does that leave him?

JRob is going on vacation next week.  This will take a while.

Lol. Not sure if this is true but if so, a good GM wouldn't let a vacation take precedent over getting one of your offenses most important pieces in camp.

Especially in a year where a lot of ppl are criticising your HC hire and a year that starts the "its on JR from here on out" talk. And to make matters worse, everyone league wide would say Lewan is deserving of what he wants, Im sure. So to let this drag on would be a bad move.

He's an idiot if he doesn't put this at the top of his priority list.

He's going to New Zealand for either  2 or 3 weeks with his family and visit relatives.
