First Pick Draft Game 2018

It's that time again, boys! The grading system is still bizarre, but I really do enjoy it as a way of familiarizing myself with the prospects and to start getting at least a rough estimate of where they're expected to go.

I was pretty pleased with this one (how does this get a B grade?! Like I said...grading system is weird).

Your score is: 18927 (GRADE: B)

I'm not sure you can get a good score anymore without trading down.

I don't know anything about any of those players I drafted, btw. All I know about Vita Vea is that he's a man mountain judging by his specs. 6'5", 340 lbs... perfect physical specimen for any defense needing either a NT for a 3-4, or maybe an Albert Haynesworth-style DT. I say that without knowing his style of play. Those in the know can educate me on if he's just space-eating plodder or if he's deceptively fast. Ted Washington was a monster, but he was also 375 lbs. Haynesworth, for all of his flaws, was pretty damn fleet of feet for a man his size. Haynesworth was a good 25 pounds lighter than Washington too. We may not even look at defensive linemen early.

Idk... anyway. Roquan Smith was available at my pick too, but I traded down and the game auto-picked Smith for Pittsburgh. Vea was the highest rated DT left and it still gave me an A- for picking him.

I’m becoming a big fan of Guice... he has a lot of wiggle and crazy speed. He’s physical

Somehow I missed out on getting a score, but I got mostly A's although I got hammered for taking Spiderman in the 4th.

Did quite a few trade downs when I thought it made sense...

Didn't get an ILB or an EDGE player high up. In this ranking they just weren't there when I picked. Have to go the FA route I suppose.

Your score is: Draft ended prematurely, no scores available.

Your Picks:
Round 1 Pick 31 (N.E.): Ronnie Harrison, SS, Alabama (A-)
Round 2 Pick 25: Harrison Phillips, DT, Stanford (A-)
Round 2 Pick 31 (N.E.): Braden Smith, OT/OG, Auburn (A-)
Round 3 Pick 32 (BUF): Rashaad Penny, RB, San Diego State (A)

The scoring for this game has never made sense, but I fail to see what I could do to make this a higher graded score.

Seriously, how the fuck do you get an A on every pick, finishing with an A+ on your final 6 picks, and still only rank a B?

You basically have to use it two ways.

1) Quasi-realistic draft simulator. How does the draft play out for the Titans?

2) Game scored based on points. This one is not about realism.

To get a high score you need to essentially land 3-4 players a round or two below where they are taken.
