Most likely not. But its a low risk high reward for them. I disagree that the position is more difficult to learn than others. WR is one of the easiest positions to transition to which is why so many move to it. HB is probably the only position easier.

History suggests otherwise.

“We want tough, smart, team-first football players”

Would JRob settle for dumb, lazy, inconsistent, and injury-prone?

The Browns released Kenny Britt after a bad tenure with the team. He did put up a good season with the Rams last year however. With Matthews injured and Davis being next to worthless at the moment, do

This is literally the only time I've ever seen/heard anyone imply that WR is a relatively easy position to pick up.

Here's an indication as to how easy it is to learn the WR position in the NFL:

According to NFL.com,  there are only four rookies ranked in league's top 50 receivers ..and none in the top 30.   Last year, only two rookies made the top 50.

If it was an easy transition, we'd see a lot more guys doing it.

Mariota needs route runners.  Britt is essentially the opposite of the type of WR who should be paired with Mariota.  He needs guys who can break deep and guys who can cut open on great routes.  Its one of the reasons Corey Davis has struggled even though he has the physical tools.  His route running has just been not very good.

The Jaguars will definitely sign him or any of the teams that are contenders right now. The Jaguars are missing Hurns and Robinson.

You guys realize the knock on Britt is that he's stupid.  So, how is he going to come in anywhere and learn an offense that quickly?  Dumb....

Davis might be having a similar issue as Sharpe did last season where he's getting bumped off his route by DBs. In college, training camp, and on air, Davis has always looked like a very good route-runner but as many have noticed he's struggling some to get off press and when that happens your route-running will definitely not be as crisp. He's actually flashed some very good route-running at times on come-backs and a few crossing routes but it's of course been inconsistent. I love him but he needs to have a hell of an off-season and get much stronger.

So Corey Davi(d) Boston is what we need.  He’s available.

While the Titans are a ways from the off season, it will be pivotal in this franchise.  If MM doesn’t have weeks where he organizes passing camps with WR, TE and Henry outside of OTAs - it will determine if this team breaks past the ceiling they keep bumping into.
