Denali
Gee. You mean drafting someone that is already injured hasn't worked out for us? What a fucking surprise!! Fucking wasted pick. IR/PUP him and be done with it. Edited October 18, 2017 by Denali pat
Popular Post nine
Yep. Just like the Giants should have done with that WR they drafted a few years ago. They use a first round pick on the guy....and he pulls a hammy in camp and is sidelined for 2-3 months. Doesn't suit up until 6 weeks into the regular season. What a waste of time.....should have just parked his ass on IR and been done with him. CreepingDeath, Justafan, reo, and 16 others 15 3

This reminds me of the arguments about CJ's big holdout and people standing up Emmitt Smith as a counterexample.
ChemEngr79
He should be back after the bye and his presence will change our O...
Popular Post nine
No, Denali is right. It would be better to IR him now and eliminate any possibility of having him healthy and available for the critical games down the stretch. They can bring back Douglas after the bye. Game changer. big2033, AvgJoe, MadMax, and 9 others 6
Supdawg
I'd love to have Davis back too. But we're being overly cautious with him this week because we simply do not need him this week to win. I fully expect him to be a full participant in practice after the bye. The ankle injury he had before the draft hasn't affected him and he pretty much had a full preseason until the hammy. Him being hurt before the draft has no impact on this. KnoxTitan
It's kind of ironic that a lot of us ragged on the Chargers for Mike Williams broken back, yet he's on the field and our guy is still in the training room. Davis will be fine. Soxcat, Righteous, and TeamBass

heyitsmeallen
I'm sure the plan when he went down was to let him sit until after the Bye. Hamstring injuries for WR have to be 110% healed or they will restrain them easily. He will be more important to this team down the stretch and in the playoffs than to risk losing him for the whole season because you rushed him back. If they would have let him fully heal instead of rushing him back for week 1 he would probably be back by now. Number9

He was out all pre-season too. But it doesn't matter. It takes however long it takes to get him healthy. This is just a thread venting frustration at the situation. freakingeek
With a lingering hammy, the rest he's getting now is critical to be full strength after the bye. If we win some games, we'll need him for the stretch run and most of all, for the playoffs. reo
siamesedinasour
Honestly, I'm surprised they've held him out this long. My concern from the get-go was that they would rush him back. It seems like they are playing it smart and making sure he's fully healed.
