Maybe 3/4 empty. It will be the equivalent of playing at a neutral site. The Titans would take heat for it but, much like the Texas Rangers did, I'd refuse to move the game. If the teams don't want to lose the bye it would make more sense IMO to play at NY or Philly, particularly since the Jaguars are going to London immediately after. Both NY and Philly have availability Sunday. people don't seem to understand that the Titans will gladly play the game in tenn. but they aren't gonna move the home game with Jax to Jax. Too many tix sold already and it's not an option. And Jax aint gonna play two games in Tenn. it's either move to bye or neutral site...I can't see why they won't have the stadium ready to play by next sun unless it sustained significant damage Edited September 11, 2017 by bizzyeddie

I'm sure the Titans would love that. It's a question of whether Jacksonville is willing to give up a second home game (they already have one game off because of London. I highly doubt that they would. But I also highly doubt the Titans would want to swap home dates. Opening with 3 at home, particularly after losing the first, would not be ideal. And then there's what I mentioned already that it would be like losing a home game.

The Titans would take a PR hit for it if it comes to that. But 31 other teams would do the exact same thing. The Bucs/Bears have a fairly similar situation except they don't share a bye or play 2 times. The NFL could actually take advantage of this and maybe give cities that aren't accustomed to seeing NFL football a game. Maybe move one of these games to a place like Louisville? Stan
Bortles is 3-3 against Tennessee with 12 touchdowns and only 2 interceptions. He's always had his best games against us. Even throwing 5 touchdowns in one game

In 2002 they started 1-4 and finished 11-5. In 2006 they started 0-5 and finished 8-8. In 2009 they started 0-6 and finished 8-8. They aren't going 1-3. Good chance of beating both Jax and Texans. Seahawks will be tough but they are at home and the Titans have the talent to beat any team in the league on the right day. I think they'll go 2-2 and things will start to look brighter. scine09
I am going to add to this post that I think if the Titans beat the Jaguars Sunday it would be a fairly significant upset. Yes, I know what Las Vegas says. And I expect that the majority of the media will pick the Titans to win this game. However, the Jaguars will be playing an emotional first home game since Hurricane Irma. I know that the Texans also did this and lost by 22 at home. However, I feel like since this hurricane hit within a week of the game being played (Harvey was 2-3 weeks or so before the Texans game) that there will be a ton of emotion in the stadium for the team. I read that they're giving free tickets away to some of the first responders. The stadium will likely be as alive as it's been since, I don't know, the AFC Championship game? I don't even think that's an exaggeration. This is a terrible spot for the Titans. I am glad that I decided to cancel my trip to Jacksonville and go elsewhere this weekend. Forget X's and O's. Talent wise maybe the Titans are better. In fact they probably are. This one isn't about talent. It's about emotion. Of course the Titans also play in Miami for their first game home since the hurricane but that's a topic for a few weeks from now.

japan
Between scine and number9, you'd think we were playing the 85 Bears this week. Number9 is comparing their defense to the great Ray Lewis Ravens defenses and scine is cancelling a trip because he's already given up. After a week 1 game. Don't forget that Whiz had us looking like a great squad when we beat a playoff team in Kansas City handily. OILERMAN

If you had the chance to change your trip free of charge to a much nicer city with better weather than Jacksonville coming off a hurricane, would you do it? You can understand my confusion as you started a topic where you said you were terrified of the Jags and that we basically don't have a shot at winning this game because they are somehow going to play like no other team has in a game after a disaster. And then said you were cancelling your trip to Jax. Edited September 12, 2017 by japan

The Titans just have to start fast and force Bortles to catch up. If they don't start fast, the Jags defense and running game will keep the game close.
