Directv often throws in things, such as NFL Sunday Ticket, for free when updating to a new yearly contract. Got a good price on Directv monthly package, then I asked if there were anything else the representative could do to make it easier for me to accept the new offer. The person then asked if I liked football. That is the lead question for offering NFL Sunday Ticket, so I knew it was coming. I answered "yes, I would like to watch Mariota play." The rep then cut me off saying, "I was going to offer you NFL Sunday Ticket if you liked football, but there is no way anyone who is a fan of Mariota likes real football, so sorry I can not offer you NFL Sunday Ticket now." Bummer!!! This is some of your best work. Alcibiades

Titanstattoo25
Call and set a cancellation date for your service, a week or two out. They will make small offers, just decline saying you don't want to cancel but it's just too expensive. Turn down all cheap offers and be polite. Hang up after all bs. You should get a call from a special department shortly after with huge deals. Last week both my dad and I did this and we each got $60 off a month for 12 months, no contract extension, HBO/stars/showtime free for 3 months, Sunday ticket max free, and a $200 visa prepaid gift card. I've read some people actually had to wait until after their cancellation date to get this call (some got a letter with a special number to call) but my dad and I both got calls within 2 hours of placing the cancellation call. Several do this every year and I plan to do it again in September when last years ends. Youre welcome.
CaliTitan3518
I just got it for free and HBO free for 3 months. I called because my internet has been screwing up lately so I just doubled up on them. Told them I was pissed that I was paying the amount I was for internet that doesnt work. Let them know that with no internet I couldnt watch on demand to catch up on Game of Thrones lol. To top it off complained that now they expect me to pay full price for Sunday Ticket while they give it to people for free or discounted. Let them know I wanted to cancel all my service and they caved transferring me around to a few people. Omar

But when they offered it to me for only $99 that was worth it to avoid the additional time and games required to get it free. So as of right now, you are getting it this year at the current price. You have to call and say you want to cancel. Those are the magic words. This is Directv negotiating 101. Call back and cancel your Sunday Ticket subscription. Make it appear you really want to cancel and you aren't calling for a discount. If they don't offer you a price you like to "not cancel" then cancel it and call back in a few weeks. OILERMAN
scine09
If you cancel it and call back in a few weeks to get it back is the price the same?

Assuming you are currently signed up at full price, then yes. They don't change the regular price. scine09
