begooode
The pups are going to have to earn their way up the roster. JRob and company will not get caught up exclusively in the player development cycle. The Titans need production from the receivers now. The biggest missed opportunity would be wasting Mariota's years without surrounding him with weapons to win every time out. Popular Post Jonboy
I'll be honest...only thing that disappoints me is that it's just for 1 year. I would have taken a chance and given him a 2-yr deal just in case he comes back as good as he was before the injury. Seems like he really wanted to be here though so if they want him back, it shouldn't be too hard to re-sign him. Heck of an offseason upgrading the WR corps. Unless he's gonna play special teams, he's at risk of not even making the 53. AvgJoe
People assume Douglas is out and while I'm not defending him, I think this move was made because of Decker's overall talent and Sharpe may be on shaky ground. EagleEye

Douglas or McBride? I wouldn't be surprised if both are sent packing. Eric Weems was signed specifically for ST duties. So, from the depth chart... Davis, Decker, Matthews, Taylor, Sharpe, Weems, Douglas, and McBride... Not a chance in hell we keep more than 6, and we may not even keep that many. It's not entirely inconceivable that Sharpe is a surprise camp cut along with Douglas and McBride. Or, judging from the replies above, not that much of a surprise. If we don't resign him he will retire imo.

begooode
If I had to guess I'm thinking Decker takes Douglas' spot? Tajae practices hard, has more upside and is cheaper.

He's on year two of a very cheap contract and has proven he can contribute. Barring something with this assault incident I don't see him going anywhere. Number9
Sharpe should be forever grateful to JRob. He gave him a shot to start and he has a year of development on his resume. If he can't make it in the league with a head start like that, then it's on him. This team sat vets and let him start. The Titans also sent two 2nd round picks packing that he replaced. What other team would treat him that well? readingwoman, scine09, and XAEA12
