Browns fire Horton +/- replace with Gregg Williams

19 posts in this topic

I don't know how bad Horton has been with the Browns, but I'm still PO'd at T Taylor running wild on us on 3rd and long last year.  I think if that had happened this year, Mularky would have fired him after the game.

Horton really was fools gold apparently. Not quite sure what happened, but it seems he made a name for himself by coaching Polamalu and some strong secondaries in Pittsburgh.

Horton is a good secondary coach and I wonder if they'd consider bringing him and Cioffi back in that role. He may have too much pride to come back here though and it may be too awkward of a situation when he was openly disgruntled at not being considered for HC. Plus Mularkey doesn't like having people with alterior agendas and HC aspirations on board.

Typical Browns. They went from a blitz happy 3-4 DC to a blitz happy 4-3 DC.
