Wow!  That's some Lannister shit, right there.  When you play the game of coaches...

Who's going to be the midget who puts an arrow through Marrone's heart?

I personally wouldn't want Couglin in charge of the 53 man roster. But honestly the Jags will live and die with how Bortles develops

So if Cough is in charge of the 53, what the heck is Caldwell doing? Lol.

Doing his job with Coughlin looking over his shoulder. I'm sure he's annoyed.

To me this is a terrible idea. It should just be the coach and gm that make football decisions now it'll be a 3 way relationship, I don't think it will work out.

Michael Silver is reporting the Jags did 7 HC interviews, so would say they probably interviewed an in house minority coach that wasn't reported.

Yeah, probably someone from the grounds crew.

"Hey man, you want to talk about the HC job?"

"What?  I've never been a coach."

"You're right.  Interview over.  Back to work."

Bortles improved when Hackett took over and had even better numbers when Marrone became interim at the end of the season.

Isn't the Jags new structure similar to the Titans old structure with Jeff Diamond, Reese and Fisher?

Diamond was team president but didn't really get involved in the personnel decisions except when he had to break a tie between Fisher and Reese.

@Jonboy

As soon as they announced this dysfunctional structure, I knew there would be all kind of issues like this knowing the kind of person Coughlin is. No doubt Caldwell and Marrone aren't happy about it and there will be discord in that organization going forward.

I dunno.  Jaguars were good under Coughlin, and the Giants kept pulling it together.  2 Super Bowls is not an accident.   Don't want to see accountability taking root in Florida.
