NFLStudent
While Marrone doesn't excite me as a HC, I would give him a chance over Mularkey.

socaltitan
He's reportedly an "old school" style coach. I'm just not sure that works in today's age with the way today's generation of players are. It works if you're a BB and Coughlin who've won SB and have been a HC many years. Marrone as an NFL HC is largely unproven.
Justafan
Marrone = meh. If it's between Marrone or Mularkey, give me .... fuck it, let the players coach themselves. TitanJoe

Btowner
It's a good hire for the Titans. O'Brien and Marrone are really good friends. There was some speculation that Marrone might have joined the Texans staff as an offensive assistant or OL coach. By all accounts, Marrone is a good OL coach. This hire keeps O'Brien from upgrading his coaching staff to help the Texans' weak OL and offense while setting up the Jags for an eventual player rebellion against the old school coach. SleepingTitan
The good news is that the Jags will never win the division under him. The bad news is that Marrone has chip on his shoulder...against Mularkey & AAS. He's been passed on more times than BWW.

From what I understand, this article #1 is accurate and #2 is rumored to have factored into why the Jets didn't give Marrone their job last year: http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/football/jets/mehta-jets-candidate-marrone-not-well-liked-bills-article-1.2064861 Wow, from that podcast, Marone sounds like a very petty person, terrible with player relationships.
