wtenn
I wouldn't be surprised if he is soon the starting running back. Oh wait, this is the Tennessee Titans where draft position trumps actual playing ability.
Panther83
Better option than Washington IMO.
Starkiller
So now we have 5 RBs on the 53 man roster? Apparently this was to keep other teams with RB needs from signing him, or at least that was speculation on Rotoworld. Face
I was kind of hoping it would be Lache Seastrunk gatordude731
XAEA12
Washington should be cut. He just doesn't have it anymore. Soxcat

Titanstattoo25
Greene to IR? My thoughts as well.
tgo
Buffalo had a multi year contract offer on the table for Andrews but he chose to get promoted instead. I doubt they put Greene on IR just yet. Brackett was waived yesterday so we don't need the spot. And Thompson may be back this week. Mythos27
If I were Andrews I would have taken the Buffalo offer but I'm glad he chose to stay. I think he'll play similar to a young Shonn Greene so it's really a perfect fit. They are both slower guys with some ability that were hyper-productive in college. Now if only we can rid ourselves of McCluster...I'd like to see what Lache can do. If we're gonna rebuild let's throw all our cards on the table and see what we really have on this roster. chef
Not much of a shocker, but it simply solidifies that Greene was going to be gone after this year probably regardless of injury and they had plans for Andrews to fill that role. At least that's what they have to be telling Andrews, otherwise he'd be off to Buffalo if that reference contract offer was true. I know he returned some kicks at WKU, but does he play ST otherwise? Thinking whether he'd be a game day active or not.
Starkiller
I can't see him being active on gamedays, at least not without some RB injuries

I may be wrong but I feel like they went above & beyond what teams normally do for practice squad players. They made it clear to him that they really liked him & had future plans for him with the big club, they went out of their way to persuade him to come back. There's no question they like him. The only question mark he has, and it's a big one, is that 40. Usually I think the 40 is overblown but his is very slow, in the 4.8's. I haven't seen him enough to know if his playing speed is faster or what but from everything I read the guy was an excellent college back.

I haven't seen him enough to know if his playing speed is faster or what but from everything I read the guy was an excellent college back. I saw him play a couple times at WKU (on TV). He was a great player for their team, but he seemed the type that wouldn't quite translate to any significant pro success because he was a bigger back but not really that big, and he was pretty slow. He did show solid vision for the hole/lanes, balance, toughness, and a good overall feel for the game. And by most accounts seems like a decent hard working guy with a great attitude, which never hurts. The speed thing really is an issue though. To put it in perspective, Shonn Greene was quite a bit faster as well as bigger than Andrews, at least coming out. I would think his value now is in knowing assignments in the O over somebody off the street like Seastrunk. (Andrews would also be a much better between the tackles guy than Seastrunk, which was lost with Greene)
