They've been depleting Brady's skill set guys for a long time. Their receivers are, for the most part, chopped liver. In spite of Whisenhunt's probable objections to the contrary, I think the Titans receiving corps is much better than theirs is. I don't know what Brady's salary is, and we may not be able to afford it regardless, but if the Titans' are obsessed with Mettenberger not playing right now then maybe let him sit behind Brady for two or three years. Sure, there's a lot of talk about Brady being done but even if he is "done" I'd still take a "done" Tom Brady over Jake Locker any day. Not only would he improve our offensive output, it would boost fan interest in the team by leaps and bounds. As much as "Peyton Manning watch" did when the Titans were offering him 70 virgins and an eternity in paradise to come here. Not sure Mariota is the answer nor any other QB available next year. Could be a tough draft. Much rather come away with a pass rusher and Tom Brady if Mettenberger doesn't pan out. We are not in a position to be making any trades. Trading is only possible when you have talented players, and it makes sense when you have an excess of talent in some areas of the team, and a deficiency of talent in other areas. scine09 Posted October 2, 2014 Report Share Posted October 2, 2014 (edited) I don't see the point in taking on a guy past his prime that needs to have a million weapons to succeed. I'm sure that the Titans would be a better team with Brady than without but would it be enough? He wouldn't be the best QB in the division and the Titans aren't deep enough in other areas to overcome that. If the Titans are going to go the veteran QB route I don't see any real viable guys out there. The pipe dream would be to somehow get Philip Rivers after he becomes a FA after the 2015 season but I certainly don't want them to wait that long.
