  1. 3 point lead and an int. Time to pound the rock and grind out the game.
  2. This game succkkkks. I finally have a free Thursday evening to just sit and watch a game and I can’t even pay attention.
  3. Even knowing he’s a small guy, I still can’t get over how tiny Bryce looks in the NFL.
  4. Can we get some pre-game raps from Bud to hype us all up?
  5. Turns out that if you twist enough and further generalize an already generalized stance (ABT), you too can be right about what happened with Tannehill this year! Even if you were in the camp that shat on anyone and everyone not satisfied with his play for two years, defended his awful play this season, and even predicted he’d get an extension beyond this season. Whining and back spinning and quoting old threads taking blind shots because X or Y poster didn’t *precisely*, to the tenth degree, nail how the team would transition from Tannehill. Even though they clearly wanted his replacement and believed he wasn’t it anymore. They suggested Rodgers or Stroud or Carr! Hahaha get wrecked ABT! It was Levis you morons! Carr isn’t even that much better than Tannehill! Like really? That’s what we’re doing? Attempting to take victory laps that the contingent of posters, who were LARGELY misrepresented and clumped together unfairly and shit on and dog-piled in unison from some of the most spammy, condescending, boisterous posters here…for years, those “ABT’ers” ended up being right….but not in the exact way where I would actually have to admit I was wrong. So….I’m basically right and have been right the whole time! Even though Tannehill got benched for a rookie! Dumbass ABTers! L O fucking L. Cry more Tannehill Stans. Take the L
  6. Gonna disagree with this for a couple of reasons. 1:) No one here is pretending they were on the Levis train from the beginning. There was a shallow optimism around draft time, because we drafted a shiny new QB highly in the draft. That always happens. You always hope you hit the lottery. And there was some “I told you so’s” in regards to an argument that the two sides were essentially Tannehill For Now and the Future versus We Can Maybe Do Better Than Tannehill. Drafting Levis showed the FO and potentially the coaching staff were trending towards the we can maybe do better side, albeit it was very likely we rode with Tannehill in 2023. Most of everyone, even on the ABT side, were fine with that - albeit doing some victory laps that a (seemingly) competent replacement and heir apparent was drafted. But I can’t recall a single poster pounding the table for Levis and proclaiming him as some sure thing. And no one, now, is pretending they were. We’re happy a player our team drafted looks promising. That’s all I’m seeing. The fact that he plays the most important position in the game makes it all the more exciting. So name these Levis come latelys who are now pretending they knew he’d be this promising the night he was drafted. I sure haven’t seen any. That’s because there aren’t any, and this is yet again another fictitious group used to strawman an argument to make one side look more rational. When it simply isn’t happening. 2:). In regards to the “finally” being right about Tannehill part- huh? Outside of an outlier (ie nutso) poster or two, those that notably soured on Tannehill did so either during the playoff loss to the Bengals during the 2021 season or more recently when he struggled this season and led us to a 2-4 record, throwing only two touchdowns, and getting hurt. 95% or more of the people that were “anti” Tannehill flipped during those two windows. So for those that turned recently, this isn’t any kind of a gotcha. His play was meh to bad and a rookie came in and looked better. For those that turned on him in 2021 after the playoff loss - his 2022 play saw a whopping 13 touchdowns, an injury, and us missing the playoffs when it was almost statistically impossible to miss them. So no, I don’t think those that turned on him after 2021 were just being naive haters oblivious to how he was lighting up the league. He peaked in 2019-21 then started regressing, fast, and getting hurt. There’s a reason that all facets of Titans media outside of this forum were wondering what we would do, longterm, to solve the QB situation. It was obvious to everyone, except a few in here. To create a strawman that people unjustly just soured on the guy when he was still playing good/great ball and were just waiting in the weeds for years to say I told you so just isn’t true. You can appreciate what Tannehill did for us. You can think he’s the best or second best QB this franchise has had. But you can’t label people who saw his regressing play since the Cincy loss as some agenda driven crazies. He played well for a couple of years. Then the team got worse and we downgraded at OC, as he got older and more injury prone. Most of us saw it, and to those that did, it was as normal and as obvious as seeing the sun rise.
  7. It was meant to be. The day he’s named the starter my phone finally trained itself to stop autocorrecting his name to Levi’s.
  8. I’m just glad that our highly drafted QB prospect will finally get consistent, meaningful reps in practice. If there’s room for optimism beyond showing out vs the Falcons and the poise against the Steelers, it’s that Levis has shown those traits while only getting quality practice reps with starters for about two weeks. The flashes he’s shown are in spite of being months and months behind other rookie QBs practice-wise.
  9. This feels big and honestly unexpected. Vrabel was pretty set on Tannehill being the starter when healthy. I was fully expecting Levis to start this week but only with the same song and dance Vrabel had given the last two weeks about things pending on RT’s health. I wonder if the charade just got old as the media pressure/criticism of that method was starting to be too much or whether he legitimately wanted to go back to Tannehill ASAP but maybe had some conversations with Ran and/or Amy. Just a surprisingly big pivot from where he’s been the last two weeks, with a healthier than ever Tannehill and Levis coming back to earth a bit on a loss.
  10. Moving forward. He said he had “the talk” with Tannehill
  11. I’m legitimately surprised he named him the straight up starter going forward. He almost seemed to enjoy the coy week to week nonanswers.
  12. Lost in the madness of the offensive line situation is the reality that D-Hop, who is new to the team and not a spring chicken, is masking how abhorrent our WR situation is. If he were to get injured, or age just catches up, it’s ugly. Burks looks to be a bust and Phillips still has a ways to go to even be seen as decent. Truth is, in addition to hopefully drafting a wideout in the early rounds next draft, we should really aggressively look to add one or two in FA as well. I know everyone is holding their breath for Higgins but even a short deal for someone like Mike Evans may make sense. The rest of this season and 2024 are pivotal in Levis’s development so we need to bring in some good receivers.
  13. Kidnap Lewan and lock him in a Burger King for a week to gain some weight then pump him full of a Brock Lesnar sized dose of horse tranquilizers. By the time the league pops him for PEDs it’ll be close enough to seasons end. Problem solved.
  14. This loss was frustrating. Not just because we didn’t win. But how. The national media was wanting Levis to be the hero again. They were salivating for us to win the game. He was all they were talking about. It’s probably the most outside eyes we’ve had on us in a longass time. And we had the opportunity for him to be the hero. Multiple times. Before halftime. Vrabel played scared. Literally wasted a down to take a three point lead with plenty of time on the clock. The drive with four minutes left, when Levis had been hot, albeit a bit streaky, he completely takes the ball out of his hands for 75% of the plays. And yeah, maybe we don’t get it in either scenario. But the chance was there. Ten more yards there and even a field goal likely makes this loss into a win. But nope, gimmick end around with Burks who’d been limping all night and two straight runs. Cowardly play calling. Levis stood tall through a shit O-line with a terrifying pass rush trying to kill him all night. And everyone on the planet could see he was why we were in the game at all with everything going bad around him. And they kept taking the ball out of his hands. Scared money. Ultimately it may be for the best. Better draft pick for a team that has a lot of holes. But man, it seemed like the world, not just Titans fans, wanted Levis to pull that out. And it’s almost like the coaches did everything they could to ensure it couldn’t happen. Just frustrating to watch really.
  15. Are we really digging and cherry picking absolutely anything to desperately try to explain why a rookie in his first game ever came in and, not only outplayed, but blew the brakes off the offensive production of an 11 year vet that’s (supposedly) head and shoulders above him? The yardage was close in home games! The points were similar! Ignore the TD/Int ratio! Forget the fact that Levis was directly responsible for all 28 points. 21 of which came from outside the redzone. Ignore the fact that Deandre Hopkins went Godzilla mode when he’d been sorta invisible 6 games prior. Ignore NWI turning into Tyreek Hill for his best highlight since he’s been a Titan. Tannehill was just as good…at home games….under a blood moon….if you don’t count *throwing* touchdowns….and blur your eyes…after drinking 14 beers. Just as good!
  16. Looks like Levis is in the zone during practice. His release somehow looks even quicker. Willis looks like he’s moving in mud in comparison. Kid’s got some confidence for sure.
  17. Eh…I think we all love Jim and were very glad he got a secure gig with the team when the Tennessean stuff went down but he really is just a mouthpiece from the top of the organization. Even when he wasn’t a direct employee of the Titans you could tell he was often guided on what he could say and break (and I get keeping your sources happy) but since he’s been on the payroll his journalism is pretty much company memos.
  18. All us ABT’ers rolling into Titans Report after the game
  19. One thing the radio guys brought up this morning. Levis wasn’t wearing a wristband for the plays yesterday. We knew he was smart, but that’s still a good sign.
